This spectacular property is located in the municipality of Felanitx, north of Porto Colom, Mallorca’s biggest and most sheltered natural harbor of Mallorca, on the southeast coast of the island, 58 km the capital, Palma de Mallorca. The property has an area of 238 hectares and occupies about 1,300 meters from the eastern coast. The estate has remained virtually intact from its origins, dating back to the Muslim era. Like all Mallorcan estate, much of its length (30%) is allocated to the crop, primarily grain and almonds. The rest of the property is covered by the typical vegetation of the area: Mallorca garrigue, grassland and pine forest. The water is so important for crops and life flows abundantly through two wells and several holes located within the property, with a capacity exceeding 150 m / hour, more than enough. The building covers about 2,100 m2, which in its oldest wing dates from the Arab domination of the area (which began in 902). The most modern part was added in the early twentieth century, besides other smaller buildings for agricultural uses account for another 300m2. The architecture is representative of the Majorcan tradition, which makes extensive use of sandstone, wooden beams, tile roofs Arabic, etc. If you look closely, you will see a myriad of small details that give the whole character and identity arguably the Balearics. Wood doors, handrails with floral themes, and even a simple but beautiful chapel at the main entrance about the history of the farm and Portocolom; making this finca a true time capsule. The finca covers more than 1 km of coastline free of roads or buildings, something quite rare in the east of the island. The section that includes the farm, known as Es Llisa, cliffs presents a maximum height of 32 meters. The constant action of the sea on the limestone has carved numerous caves that dot the coast.
