It holds a mountainous landscape, secluded creeks and overwhelming cliffs, on both sides of the Port d'Andratx, with great deal of nautical and fishing activity. Another spot in Andratx is Sant Telm, opposite the Dragonera isle, with a beautiful crystal water beach. The oldest part of the town, on the top of the protected mountain, is the Pantaleu, where one can still see traces of the old wall which defended the town against the attacks by corsairs.

The municipality of Andratx preserves some defense towers that were used to monitor the coast and to protect against pirate raids. The Tower of Cala en Basset, Torre de Sa Mola, Torre des Cap Andritxol ... They are all part of a network of towers that allowed to establish visual communication between the most strategic points of the island. Cap des Andritxol Tower, built between 1580 and 1582, is possibly the vantage point of Andratx which enjoys the most privileged views. Located 180 meters above sea level in the arm that separates Camp de Mar and Cala Fornells, dominates much of the towns of Andratx, Calvia and even some parts of the bay of Palma. The climb to the watchtower can be done in various ways but the most common is the path that starts in Cala Fornells, through a beautiful pine forest. The road to the Cape is about 2 miles and the round is done in 2 hours. The tour, which is marked and not difficult, can be complemented with a visit or swim in the Caló des Monjo, completely unspoilt nudist beach located a mere 10 minutes from Cala Fornells.
