Sant Elm is a small coastal town of Andratx opposite end of the islet is Pantaleu and Dragonera island. Originally a small fishing village called Sa Palomera, but with the advent of mass tourism in the mid-twentieth century became a tourist town with summer houses, apartments, restaurants and several hotels. It currently has a population of about 500 inhabitants live mainly from tourism. Despite the urban development of recent decades, Sant Elm still retains the charm of the small fishing village it once was. The sandy beach, Cala Cala en Basset Conills and the islet of Es Pantaleu and the island of Sa Dragonera make extremely attractive natural surroundings.
